January 19, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jeff Schwilk Founder, San Diego Minutemen 760-525-1655 SDMM Names Francisca Galvan Highway Director
Francisca Galvan has been appointed SDMM Director of Highway Operations for our Adopt-a-Highway program. Ms. Galvan participated in our first ever clean-up event on Jan. 17th and volunteered to coordinate future highway events for the 600-member strong organization.
Ms. Galvan is a recent immigrant from Mexico who became a U.S. Citizen in 2004. She has been fighting illegal immigration with the San Diego Minutemen since October of 2006. Her dedication and unique insights into the problems in Mexico has been invaluable to SDMM in our political activism operations in San Diego County.
“Francisca embodies the true meaning and spirit of LEGAL immigration in America and has been an outspoken critic of the corruption and lawlessness in her new adopted country and her former country as well”, said Mike Spencer, spokesman for the San Diego Minutemen. “It is most appropriate that she is now in charge of our adopted highway. SDMM is pleased that Ms. Galvan has accepted this important position”.
