PRESS CONFERENCE – ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION GROUPS PROTEST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES PANDERING TO LA RAZA

A coalition of pro-American sovereignty groups led by the San Diego Minutemen and FIRE Coalition will hold a joint press conference directly in front of the San Diego Convention Center at 10am, Sunday, July 13 to present over 30,000 letters of protest of this race-based event from angry Americans across the country. These letters were gathered in a 48-hour campaign by our friends at Grassfire.org The letters were signed by average Americans of all ethnicities and backgrounds who have had it with our politicians pandering to open borders, pro-illegal immigration, ethno-centric groups!

“We are all Americans and we don’t need divisive groups like ‘The Race’ coming into San Diego to recruit and pander for their pro-Mexico, anti-American agenda”, said Claudia Spencer, leader of the San Diego Chapter of ‘You Don’t Speak for Me!’, a nationwide group of American Hispanics fighting illegal immigration. Mrs. Spencer herself is a legal immigrant from Mexico and will be speaking at the press conference Sunday.

Other groups participating are Save Our State, Friends of the Border Patrol, and the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps.

A large protest will also take place in front of the convention center from 10am – noon Sunday to coincide with Barack Obama’s appearance. A second protest will take place from 11:30am – 1:30pm on Monday, July 14 to coincide with John McCain’s speech to La Raza.
