Anti-American legislation introduced: AB 2799 – Hate Crime Bill, Feb 08

Anti-American Deeds: Jan 08 – Lobbied Caltrans along with Sen. Gil Cedillo and Assemblyman Coto to illegally and unconstitutionally remove the San Diego Minutemen from the adopt a highway program.

Worst kept secret: Likes to meet with Enrique Morones, Rev. Mary Moreno and other la raza reconquista activists.  She is going after Roger Hedgecock, Rick Roberts, and other Americans to take away their free speech on behalf of her la raza supporters.

She also filed false police reports against American activists who attended her public meeting (Dec 07) and forwarded those false police reports to the Director of Caltrans claiming they proved that Minutemen were violent.  She got caught lying.

Public Statements:

NCTimes May 9: (On SDMM highway adoption) One member of the Latino caucus, California Assemblywoman Lori Saldana, D-San Diego, said through her press secretary Friday that she is exploring a way to make Caltrans refine its application procedures.

Adopt-A-Highway participants should have to meet several membership standards, such as a membership roster, a board of directors and bylaws, she said.

AP, May 9: California assemblywoman Lori Saldana, D-San Diego, said she was considering legislation that would stop the transportation department from accepting new sponsorships until it develops standards governing who qualified to participate in the highway adoption program.

"We want them to say what constitutes a legitimate group," Saldana said after the hearing. "Do we want these people allowed on a highway near a security checkpoint?"
